 ENTAMOEBA HISTOLYTICA


1. This parasite is generally found in the intestinal tract of persons living at dirty place and poor sanitary conditions.

2. Its infection is Oral with no visual symptoms. However, at a later stage, ulcers may be formed within the intestine, causing amoebic dysentery

3. This organism or pathogen is transmitted forms one to another man in the form of cycles Amoeba increase its population by inside the intestine.

4. They leave the intestinal tract, in the form from of cyst, through stool.

5. The cysts are drough resistant and can survive, for long periods, outside the body. The cysts are transmitted to healthy persons through drinking water or house flies.

6. The disaese caused by entamoeba histolytica, is cured by taking antibodies orally.

7. Antibodies are given to kill bacteria present in intestines, as the former are the only food for these entamoeba.
